Overview
Each of the Aeolian Islands is different from the others, the whole archipelago is included in the Unesco List of World Heritage Sites, so a holiday here will undoubtedly be a special one. The views are so unusual for one used to live on dry land! Being surrounded by such a beautiful reassuring garland of islands - where you can both enjoy a peaceful solitude or be glad you can find other people a few hundred yards or sea stretches away - breathing the cool and fragrant sea breeze, soaking up all natural colours and filling up your own soul with such a wonderful feeling of peacefulness and symbiosis with nature can only suggest you a different approach to life and the rest of mankind. When all your being is so full of beauty, of such noble feelings, you cannot but being kind towards your fellow men and women. An archipelago is the exact image of what the human condition is: we're all islands, we can choose to live in solitude or search for a more intimate, a more human contact with others and the planet hosting us.
Property details
If you share this philosophical notion of what a holiday can be - a chance to recover one's deep identity as a human being, to forget whatever worry, tension, negative energy changes your natural inclination to be calm, amiable, hearty, good-humoured, a different person from the one you are when you need a holiday - well the Aeolian Islands are the perfect place for you. Especially if your family needs beach fun, bars, discoes, or other fashionable places to spend their time. Panarea is the most animated isle in the Archipelago, and it's very popular among the International Jet Set, so meeting celebrities or VIPs is very frequent here.
Quartara is a very prestigious boutique hotel in Panarea - the smallest among the Aeolian islands - and despite being located a few hundred yards from the harbour, it can grant you the most perfect privacy and a really relaxing stay. It has been decorated in the typical Aeolian style: white-washed walls and floors, dark wooden furniture and light-coloured bed, bath and table linen. Quartara has 13 rooms, 4 of which have sea view and balcony. Pieces of furniture are made with handicrafted teak wood, and each room has a different style: colonial, minimalist, Chinese, and so on. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, satellite TV, internet connection, cable radio set, minibar, safecase, direct dial phone and hairdryer. The hotel also offers his guests a bar, a "fine dining restaurant", a TV room, a small library, an Internet Point, a solarium overlooking the harbour and an external jacuzzi, where you can experience the benficial effects of chromo-therapy.
Area details
Panarea is certainly worth an exploration, to see its natural beauties and pre-historical settlements, a few of the latter laying in the vicinities of the hotel. Obviously we strongly reccommend you a visit to the the rest of the Archipelago, especially to Lipari, which keeps interesting remains of all past civilization settled in the area in its Museum. You can have either boat or helicopter trips to the other islands - each fascinating in its own way.
Additional Information
Quartara offers his guests a shuttle service from and to the harbour on board of an electric vehicle.
Booking at Quartara, you will have a 10% discount on diving packages and courses at the Amphibia scuba centre (except in August).
