Overview
Baglio della Luna is an amazing heavenly patch, an ancient rural building surrounded by defensive walls, with a watchtower, characteristic courtyards and a wonderful terrace facing the Valley of the Temples, where you will enjoy the cuisine of the on-site restaurant gazing at this spectacular view, which is truly unique all over the world. The careful restoration sponsored by the owners has respectfully saved the original building, dating back to the 13th century, but the interiors have been lushly and stylishly furnished, and decorated in an ancient style recalling old-time rural life in Sicily. THe Baglio is surrounded by a gorgeous green Mediterranean garden, with a dedicated wellness area with jacuzzi and sauna.

The 18 hotel bedrooms and 5 suites are located in the main building and the former watchtower, and are all furnished and decorated in a refined classical style.
In the sumptuous main building you'll find Superior and Classic bedrooms. Superior - decorated with stylish pieces of furniture and rich fabrics and emanating a cozy and charming atmosphere - also boast a wonderful view on the Valley of the Temples. Classic rooms can be arranged as single, double or triple bedrooms. All rooms in the main building are equipped with TV, direct dial phone, minibar and air conditioning. The en-suite bathrooms are equipped with tub or shower, hairdryer and nice beauty kit.
The Junior and Senior Suites hosted in the fascinating watchtower have an amazingly ancient looking, and are furnished with elegant antique pieces. They are equipped with TV, direct dial phone, minibar and air conditioning as the Superior and Classic rooms, but their en-suite bathrooms have hairdryer, nice beauty kit, and - wow! - a fabulous jacuzzi!

Baglio della Luna is located in Contrada Maddalusa, between the amazing Valley of the Temples and the beautiful beach of San Leone, 7kms from Agrigento downtown. Its strategic position willl allow you to visit - beside the Valley of the Temples and the most scenographic beaches on the Mediterranean coast such as Sciacca, Eraclea Minoa, Scala dei Turchi, Torre Salsa - also the famous archaeological site of Selinunte and Segesta. Further westward, you can reach Trapani, Erice and the Aegadian Islands with 1hr, 1hr 30min drives. You can visit towns in central Sicily such as Piazza Armerina and its Villa del Casale, Caltagirone and its Regional Museum of Ceramic also with 1hr, 1hr30min drives. With longer trips eastward you can reach the Etna Volcano and Catania, Ragusa Ibla, Modica and Noto, and visit their gorgeous historical centres, which won these towns their ranking among the World Heritage Sites by Unesco.
