Furthermore, the proximity of the apartment to the Central Railway Station (5min walking) and to the stops of the major urban and suburban bus routes will allow you to reach several destinations in Sicily with brief excursions.

The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a historical residence located between Piazza Rivoluzione and via Lincoln, in the heart of Palermo, a stone's throw from the Modern Art Gallery and the major city monuments. The interior is equipped with all modern comforts (heating, ceiling fans, direct dial phone, internet access, satellite TV, DVD player and stereo) and accurately decorated with valuable furniture, frescoed ceilings and Persian carpets.

Il Genio is located in one of the most ancient town quarters, the Fieravecchia, where an old popular market was once held. At a stone's throw you'll find the Modern Art Gallery and the Contemporary Art Gallery, and the major town monuments and museums. The area is crowded with all kinds of shops, sandwich bars, grill-rooms, ice-cream and pastry makers, bars, pubs and night clubs for all tastes. The Central Railway Station is at less than 10min walking distance, and from there trains and bus trips of both urban and suburban bus companies leave towards several destinations. Therefore, if you wish to reach Mondello beach, or have a trip to Monreale - to visit its amazing Cathedral - Cefalù or Trapani - to walk among the streets of their pretty historical centres - Segesta - to visit the suggestive Doric Temple and the splendid still working ancient Theatre - Erice - to experiment the fascination of an old medieval village - Bagheria - to see its gorgeous Baroque noble villas - you just have to get there and choose where to go!
