At Caol Ishka contemporary design weds the charm of an old-time Sicilian farm. Outdoors, guests can have a pleasant walk in the wide Mediterranean garden, relax in the gorgeous swimmin-pool, sunbathe in the near solarium, or simply have a nice chat "al fresco" in their private patios. Indoors, the ceilings still bear traces of an old-time style in their solid beams of white oak, but the floorings are made of lively coloured resin, or stylishly parqueted. The walls have warm tinges, and the big doors - made by local craftsmen - are enriched with precious details: mosaics, mirrors, fabrics, inset panels covered with thin golden leaves. There are three different kind of rooms, according to the capacity and the luxury of furnishings and décor. You will find 6 Standard double rooms, 3 Superior rooms and 1 De Luxe. The en-suite bathrooms are spacious and comfortable, and show high-design washbasins and large walk-in showers with glass doors and Iroko decking. All rooms come with direct phone, air conditioning, LCD TV, DVD player and Internet connection. Caol Ishka can also boast a fine dining restaurant, serving its dishes in an elegant dining room or on the exclusive terrace.

Caol Ishka is located on the banks of the Anapo river in Syracuse, more exactly opposite the natural port, 2 kms away from Ortigia isle. Therefore, we obviously suggest a visit to the treasures of this former Greek colony, with its imposing remains of that ancient civilization and huge quantity of extraordinary monuments, mostly of Baroque age. At a few kms distance, we suggest you to visit three of the most precious jewels of Sicilian Baroque: Noto, Modica and Ragusa Ibla. If you love beachlife and the sea, you'll find fully equipped lidoes in Fontane Bianche area, and enjoy scuba diving in the Plemmirio Marine Protected Area, just out of Syracuse. If you wish to explore a fascinating naturalistic spot, we certainly advise you Vendicari Nature Reserve, where innumerable species of migratory birds stop during their migrations to and from Africa, and a rare dune scenery may still be seen crowning gorgeous crystal-clear waters.
