Property details
When you love a place, you try to respect it in every single thing. That's why Casa Blue's owner wanted her little nest to reflect the pattern of the typical rural house, and she furnished it recycling simple stuff and adding just a colourful touch to it, to recall a Mediterranean style which looks, though, perfectly integrated with the rural landscape around it. You realize you are in Sicily seeing the antique Sicilian majolica tiles inserted everywhere to interrumpt the absolute white of walls, happily matched with the blue of sofas, curtains and linen. White and blue also smile from dishes, glasses and kitchenware, while floors are in a cute slightly rosy tinge, recalling the doors' rosy beige finishing.
Inside the house you'll find a bright and cool living room, a nice little rustic-style kitchen, a bathroom with shower - with lovely majolica tiles decorated in white, yellow and blue - and 2 bedrooms - 1 double and 1 twin - really shady and quiet. From the white and blue sofas in the living room you can look outside and see a wonderful stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast. What a great luck to live in a place so blessed with beauty!
The outdoor areas, all covered with rustic stone slates, are occupied by a charming and curvy 6x3m jacuzzi with a fantastic panoramic view, a solarium, 2 equipped areas with different exposures to sit and eat alfresco, a barbecue area, and a green lawn where a big carob tree towers fatherly. The hammock hanging under its branches invites you to rock yourself reading a good book, chatting, or taking a cool afternoon siesta in the heat of summer.
Area details
Casa Blu is located in Scopello, 5min drive from the homonymous village, the stacks facing the picturesque "tonnara", Guidaloca pebbled beach and the closest shops for bare necessities. In the near Castellammare del Golfo you can find more shops and excellent fish restaurants, open all the year round. From here you can reach innumerable places on the western coast, such as the amazing Zingaro Nature Reserve - with its stunning turquoise bays and crystal-clear waters - and San Vito Lo Capo - vivacious town with a fabulous white sandy beach, mostly famous for its Cous Cous Fest and other events connected to seafaring life and fish. At a short distance you can also find the impressive Segesta and the medieval town of Erice, whose beautiful panoramas will be hard to forget. The Aeolian Islands and their wonderful bays are easily reachable from Trapani, which surely deserves a visit to its elegant historical centre, the characteristic salt pans and the scenographic Easter celebrations - when the city streets are crossed by a touching procession of precious wooden 18th century sculptures representing the Stations of the Cross. With a longer drive you can finally reach Marsala and Mazara del Vallo and visit their interesting historical centres - both boasting monuments ranging from the Phoenician times through the 19th century - and Mothya isle, a former Phoenician stronghold now hosting an extensive archaeological site and a rich museum.
