Overview
Eremo della Giubiliana is a 5-star luxury Boutique Hotel belonging to a historical aristocratic residence a few kilometres south of Ragusa. Ancient thick stone walls protect the internal courtyards and the main building. Its white tower stands out tall and proud above the plateau that gently declines towards the sea, and from there miles and miles of coast stretch as far as the eye can see. Across the water, on clear days, you can make out Malta and the African Coast. In the XII century the estate was part of the old ecclesiastic feud of Renna, and in Arab times it was used as rural farmhouse, and later as "baglio" and hermitage. In the 18th century, the Eremo was acquired by a wealthy land-owner family of the plateau, the Nifosì. The present heiress of this family had it restored, and converted the estate into a luxury boutique hotel, which she runs personally.
