The property belongs to a Sicilian aristocratic family who has renovated the interiors in a modern style and with all kinds of comforts, though keeping its special timeless charm intact. The gorgeous swimming pool is laying on a stunning garden, framed by an absolutely unique border of spectacular high palms and tropical plants.

Entering the property you will be impressed by the wide splendid garden, with extensive well-tended lawns and pretty corners where you can sit and enjoy the cool breeze, imposingly framed by tall spectacular palm trees and tropical plants. Before entering the house, you'll pass by the gorgeous swimming pool and an elegant covered gazebo, under whose shade you can dine and have your aperitifs.
Villa Barresa develops on 2 floors: the ground floor is dedicated to the elegant and spacious living area - with 1 dining room, 1 parlour furnished with ancient Sicilian pieces, 1 wide and cozy living room with fireplace, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom. Next to the main entrance you'll see a separate building hosting a beautiful modern living room with a big fireplace, where you can spend lazy relaxing moments chatting or drinking as if you were home. A large covered patio runs along the ground floor, and has a few nice and shady sitting corners.
The first floor is occupied by the sleeping quarter, with 2 double bedrooms, 1 studio and 1 bathroom with tub on the west side of the house, and 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin and 1 bathroom on the east side. The first floor is likewise equipped with a wide terrace overlooking the citrus plantation and the swimming pool.
A more intimate and romantic accommodation is offered by the villa tower, which the owners have converted and equipped for this specific use. Here you'll find only 1 double bedroom and a small panoramic terrace overlooking the swimming pool.

Villa Barresa is located in Lentini, near Syracuse. Therefore, we suggest you to visit the splendid former Greek colony - with its spectacular mix of baroque monuments and Greek and Roman ruins, and the amazing isle of Ortigia. In the homonymous province we warmly advise you the wonderful Noto - the "stone garden" whose magnificent historical centre, with the most representative monuments of Sicilian Baroque - has been included in the List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Scicli and Avola boast likewise splendid baroque monuments, while the fishermen's town of Marzamemi and Porto Palo di Capo Passero deserve a visit for their fabulous blue sea and good fish, which you can enjoy in one of the many local restaurants. If you are fascinated by the sea and its beauties, spend a day in Vendicari Nature Reserve, famous for its green-turquoise crystal-clear sea and its sandy dunes, where hundreds of birds stop during their migrations attracting bird-watching lovers. If you feel like knowing more of Sicilian traditions, we suggest you a trip to Caltagirone, famous for its Museum of Ceramics and hosting - yearly on July 24th and 25th - the scenographic Santa Maria del Monte Feast, when the 142 steps of the homonymous church are lighted by hundreds of little lamps. And how can you neglect Taormina and the Etna? If you would never leave Sicily without visiting these places so dear to tourists from all over the world, the Volcano and the beautiful town are at 1hr and 1hr 30min drive respectively. Additional Information
The 4hrs daily cleaning of the property is effected 5 days a week. The swimming pool is open to guests from April to October.
