Everything here calls for peace and serenity, and - downhill - Cefalù reminds you of a different world: people enjoying the beach-life and the sea, walking through the colourful streets, tasting fish & wine in one of the many restaurants, chatting placidly in the nice cafés. And you can choose to indulge in the peace of the villa or in the bustle of the town whenever you like. Sleep till late, float in the spacious pool, have your workout on the lawns around the house, rove off-road on a quad through the property, or plunge in the uproar of summer life. You choose! We can bet you’ll have fun anyway.
Property details
The property is located at about 400m on sea level, less than 10 minutes drive from Cefalù. A country road amidst rolling hills and patches of green separates the vivacious town from the villa. The more adventurous of you could climb it up and down on a quad bike, plunging wildly among the nice villas of the area and shocking the neighbourhood (but don’t say we suggested it!).
Outside the house you’ll see beautiful green lawns everywhere, and on the left - on a terrace next to a wide barbecue area - a gorgeous swimming pool. Wow! Your kids are already running for it, we can bet it! The walls are all covered with stone slates, like old-time country houses, but the modern profile of the villa announces unexpected comforts. And, in fact, getting to the front terrace facing the hills, you are soon welcomed by a stylish, ultramodern dining&sitting area, where you’ll surely enjoy more than a few dinners.
Entering the villa, a refined minimalist modern furniture fills up the living room: cream-coloured leather sofas both on the left - in front of a gorgeous wide flat screen TV - and on the right - around a modern stove working as a fireplace. Further ahead, a dining area and the ultramodern kitchen, the type you only see on interior design magazines. Wow! Sure you’re gaping once again. On this floor there are also 2 spacious double bedrooms (one of them convertible into a twin) sharing a fabulous bathroom with Jacuzzi tub & shower, so you can take long relaxing moments for your personal care. Wow! A spiral wood&metal staircase leads you to the upper floor, where you can find a cozy sitting area and 2 double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, one with Jacuzzi and one with hydro-massage shower.
Area details
All kinds of shops, restaurants, cafés and sport facilities are available in Cefalù, 6kms away and 10min drive from the villa. If you look for a sun&sea holiday, the town has both public beaches and fully equipped lidoes. We recommend a visit to both Monreale and Palermo (about 45min drive from the house) whose historical centres have been included in the list of World Heritage sites by UNESCO. A trip through the Madonie mountains and a visit to the several pretty villages among them is a good idea, if you wish to see rural Sicily and the characteristic scenario of the island’s interiors. The Valley of the Temples in Agrigento and the Roman Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina, with their unique treasures, are both at 1hr15min drive from Cefalù. The enchanting Taormina, the impressive Etna Volcano and the fascinating Alcantara’s Gorges are reachable with a 2hours drive from Cefalù.
Additional Information
You can rent from the owner a luxury 8mt rubber boat equipped with fridge, stove and GPS which can accommodate up to 12 people for euro 500 per day (skipper and fuel not included). Thanks to its 250hp engine, you can reach the Aeolian Islands in 1 hour. You can also rent quad bikes for euro 100 per day, to go back and forth Cefalù and the villa.
